About the Role:

Are you a dynamic and strategic communicator with a passion for shaping corporate narratives? We are seeking a talented Corporate Communications Manager to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate across teams to craft compelling messages that resonate with stakeholders. Your expertise will drive our internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment with our brand and vision. Additionally, you will manage media relations, enhancing our brand’s visibility and reputation.

As a key member of the credit union's Marketing Department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing communication strategies that support business objectives. Your ability to navigate complex corporate environments and deliver clear, impactful messages will be essential. If you are a trustworthy and proactive communicator with a proven track record in executive communications, internal communications, and media relations, we invite you to apply and help elevate our brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to promote and positively represent the organization through internal and media communication.

  • Draft and review communications for executive leadership, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.           

  • Develop and execute upon Senior Leadership brand strategy.

  • Manage internal communication channels including the SharePoint homepage, , Microsoft Teams All-Staff Channel, social media sites, which could include company announcements, newsletters, and updates, ensuring clear and consistent messaging to keep employees informed and engaged.

  • Develop and implement procedures for communicating on behalf of the organization, including incident response communications.    

  • Work collaboratively across the organization, including copywriting and video resources, to influence communication outcomes and support engagement and alignment with organizational vision, values, strategies, and brand.

  • Develop and implement annual corporate communication strategy and reputation management plans.               

  • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including executive announcements, the launch of new products, special events, community relations in collaboration with Connexus Cares, and other topics of interest.

  • Develop high-end presentations for key internal and external meetings.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations in the company to share information. Reviews and edits content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.

  • Represent Connexus in a variety of settings, always promoting the company in the best possible way.

Position Requirements:

  • This position is Remote.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is Required.

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, content creation, or a related role is Required.

  • 1+ year of people leader experience is Required.   

  • Proven fluency with PowerPoint and/or commensurate presentation software is Required.

  • Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, such as: Email Marketing Tools,  Adobe, Workfront, Trello is Required.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills is Required.

  • Proven experience defining strategy and managing corporate communications is Required.
