Job description

As the Raw Materials Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials crucial to our product lines, including oils, specialty chemicals, polymers, surfactants, and active ingredients. You will drive cost improvements and ensuring the steady flow of high-quality materials needed for production.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement Management: Lead the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, focusing on cost-efficiency and quality enhancement. Manage a broad portfolio including specialty chemicals, polymers, active ingredients, and natural ingredients critical to skincare products.

  • Cost Management and Savings: Monitor and report on category performance, leading negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms and pricing. Implement dual-sourcing strategies to enhance supply security and cost savings, aiming for a 10% yearly reduction in costs.

  • Inventory and Logistics Oversight: Manage supply chain logistics to ensure timely deliveries and optimal inventory levels. Utilize agile inventory control methods to manage product volume across multiple storage facilities, achieving significant cost savings.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Collaborate on continuous improvement projects, including value analysis and productivity pipelines.

  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Drive global projects with cross-functional teams to elevate procurement processes and outcomes. Engage with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with company goals.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market assessments to anticipate trends or shortages and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly. Maintain visibility into the next three years of market conditions to strategically position the company for growth and stability.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement management, specifically in raw materials procurement in the cosmetics or related industry.

  • Proven track record of managing procurement budgets and achieving cost savings.

  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in market analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
