Job Summary:
The Director, Technology Strategy will play a critical role in developing and executing technology strategies that align with Walmart's business objectives. This role will be pivotal in elevating our technology strategy storytelling by partnering with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, technology teams and external partners, to enhance our technology narrative in a way that drives business and associate engagement as well as promotes operational excellence. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of technology trends, as well as exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology strategies to accelerate our roadmap: Develop and implement technology strategies that align with Walmart's business objectives, to drive business growth and operational excellence.
- Elevating Our Tech Journey: Build and amplify our technology strategy narrative, showcasing our journey and innovations that set us apart in the industry. Make our tech evolution a memorable story for associates and customers alike. Craft powerful, multi-channel narratives that bring our technology strategy to life, inspiring both internal associates and external customers. Your stories will bridge complex technical concepts and clear, relatable value, deepening engagement across the board.
- Engagement Leadership: Develop and lead engagement frameworks that drive deep associate and customer engagement, ensuring both audiences feel connected to our mission, values, and technology impact. Use a blend of traditional and digital platforms to connect authentically with associates and customers, from strategic updates to milestone achievements, creating a unified and accessible narrative for all.
- Technology research and analysis: Lead research and analysis of emerging technologies, including their potential applications and benefits for Walmart's business. Develop and manage the technology strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with Walmart's overall business strategy and technology vision.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders, teams – tech and business to ensure cohesive, strategic messaging that aligns internal and external storytelling, driving clarity and excitement around our tech journey.
- Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and develop their skills.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in strategy development, narration and deliver.
- Proven track record of success in driving business growth and operational excellence through technology innovation.
- Deep understanding of technology trends and their potential applications in retail.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering results and driving continuous improvement.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Hoboken, New Jersey US-10649:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00
Sunnyvale, California US-04396:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-10424:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
