Winston Benefits, a Brown & Brown company, is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join our team! The role of the Vice President of Business Development is responsible for developing new business by analyzing account potential; initiating, developing, and closing sales; and recommending new applications and sales strategies.

What You'll Do

Travel Required - Minimum 10 days / month

Business Development

  • Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
  • Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
  • Develops new applications by preparing specifications, conferring with IT.
  • Closes sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
  • Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.

Sales

  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Sells products/services by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Proven record in industry sales.
  • 4 years minimum years of sales experience.
