Impact
As a Data Steward on the Shipt Data Platform team you will help us deliver consistent, valuable data-driven insights through good governance practices. You will work closely with Shipt business partners to make sure our data meets their complex needs. The Data Steward will employ good communication practices, along with the use of industry-leading Data Governance tools, to ensure that our enterprise definitions and data catalog are well-defined and curated, that quality is maintained, and that data policies are being enforced. The Data Steward will focus on a specific set of Data Domains (e.g. Finance, Order, Partner, etc.) but work closely with other Stewards in the department towards common goals and with common practices.
Every day you will work as primary contact for business partners to understand data sources and provide quality metrics, driving discussions on data definition, taxonomy and classifications and assist with implementing data quality measurements. You will also enforce adherence to policies, ensure documentation is complete in the Data Catalog and Business Glossary tools and partner with regulatory and compliance teams to analyze impact from regulatory landscape changes.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
2+ years’ experience in data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, and/or designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process preferred.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills with proven ability to establish and cultivate relationships with key partners.
Ability to drive change and lead/influence others without formal authority.
Basic understanding of SQL is required.
Work Arrangement
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. $74,732-$149,463
All other locations:
$62,186-$124,481
Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
