Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Equipment Sales Manager/Specialist is responsible for managing assigned customers, accounts, and clinics within the assigned territory/region. A major objective for this position is to drive equipment sales, growth and acceptance of the CooperSurgical equipment products in the Fertility Solutions Business Unit. Importantly, a successful candidate will excel in working well in matrix organization, managing accounts/customers in a complex & competitive environment, with a focus on fertility, in-vitro fertilization, and andrology laboratories, clinical excellence and expertise on assigned equipment, and supporting total account and total solution selling within the Territory and Regional Account Team. The Equipment Sales Manager/Specialist is a key member of the commercial organization.
The successful candidate must also be able work effectively with all departments that are part of CooperSurgical’s Fertility Solutions global team, as well as other teams, including colleagues in different business units when appropriate to drive OneCooper. In addition, a successful candidate will ensure that the regional and territory business strategies are developed, executed, and achieved within an ethical and compliant framework, as well as always working within the CooperSurgical values.
Description of tasks:
- Make sales and clinical calls to infertility specialists (IVF Doctors/reproductive endocrinologists), lab directors, embryologists, nurses, lab techs, and account/clinic/center management team and administration.
- Communicate to these professionals the benefits of using CooperSurgical Fertility & Genomics equipment in their lab/practice and overall IVF Center. Total Solution selling is a plus.
- Plan and execute their plan to obtain the sales and business goals and objectives within their assigned territory.
- Complete training requirements of the products, services, procedures, and the applications of those products & services. They must pass both interim and final examinations and demonstrate to Training and Sales Management that their clinical and knowledge, ability to articulate proper use and clinical applications of all Products & Services is within Company Standards.
- In addition to driving equipment sales, successful individuals will support and embrace Total Solution Selling, capitalizing on the diverse product and service portfolio offered by CooperSurgical Fertility Solutions
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university mandatory, with a focus on biomedical, laboratory equipment, clinical laboratory, reproductive biology, clinical embryology, etc. a plus. Advanced degree (Master’s and/or PhD) a major plus.
- Additional clinical education/on the job training/documented training focus on capital equipment sales preferred.
Personal Skills
- 2-5+ years working in a sales team, medical team, or other related job in the IVF field, with a focus on equipment. Proven success within the REI/Fertility/IVF lab space will be strongly considered.
- Customer oriented.
- Strong clinical and business acumen.
- Strategic minded in order to structure long-term viable direct customer sales relationships.
- Good listener and communicator.
- Energetic, action oriented and ability to get things done.
- Empathic, positive and present.
Criteria for success:
- Total equipment growth and revenue of the territory
- Secondary growth of other products and services in the territory is a supplemental benefit.
- Manage targets effectively
- Equipment pipeline plan, management and plan development for the territory
Experience:
- Documented experience selling/managing accounts in a complex, competitive environment.
- Experience in the women’s health field, med device, IVF, etc. preferred, not required though.
- Two plus years of documented and verifiable equipment sales experience.
- Documented ability to grow sales in previous positions.
- Satisfactory and positive responses from business and personal references.
Language(s):
English mandatory, other language proficiency a plus.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $105,000 - $130,000, with a total earnings potential of up to $175,000 at target. The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
