About the Role
Canary Technologies is hiring a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team and enable our next phase of growth. This role requires a strong background in IT systems as we work to improve Canary's systems and processes, in our efforts to scale the company. As an additional perk, you can be fully remote!
ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary IT point of contact and an escalation pointEstablish working relationships with internal teams to understand, prioritize, and effectively deliver IT support requests and projectsReview and delegate high priority requests as requiredTroubleshoot and identify the root cause of complicated software and hardware issues to prevent repetitionEstablish processes and metrics to help identify areas of improvement, as well as celebrate the great work being donePerform hands-on fixes at the desktop level; installing and upgrading software and configuring systems and applications in collaboration with other IT team membersManage user access related to the onboarding and offboarding of team membersDeliver new hire IT orientationDevelop and contribute to knowledge base articles for end user referenceManage IT asset inventory and lifecycle management programQualificationsMinimum of 6 years of experience in IT systems engineeringProficiency in system design, implementation, and troubleshooting across various IT environmentsExperience in a high growth organization or startup environmentStrong knowledge of server and network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud technologies such as Google Workspace, Google Cloud, Amazon Web ServicesExperienced with Apple and Microsoft Windows operating systems, hardware, and softwarePrevious experience administering identity providersPrevious experience in managing and administering a centralized MDM solutionContinuously improve Canary’s security postureWillingness to travel to remote sites as requiredCanary Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
