The Opportunity 

As a Patient Experience Coordinator - Front Desk (PXC) will execute all patient-facing tasks and inquiries while providing exceptional customer service. The PXC will represent and be the “face” of Mindful Care. This role is responsible for handling patient scheduling/rescheduling, payment collections, and inquiries related to Mindful Care services via phone calls, texting, and email for all locations. You will also be responsible for triaging incoming inquiries from other departments and re-engaging patients who no-show for their appointments. 

You will manage all in-office appointments and be physically present for the person’s needs. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and be able to support and advocate for the best possible experience.  

Responsibilities 

  • Support people through the intake process and establish their Patient Portal and provide people with basic tech support to facilitate their provider experience 
  • Answer all incoming calls for all locations and return any voicemails that are left outside of business hours 
  • Provide Check-in and Check-out for everyone 
  • Handle all scheduling/rescheduling requests via phone/email/text 
  • Provide same-day eligibility and verification 
  • Help collect balance due, copayments, and no-show fees 
  • Tackle all provider requests for contact with patients 
  • Act as office manager and provide office maintenance, point of contact for new office staffing, and escort in office visits to the examination room 
  • Triage all incoming inquiries for other departments 
  • Other tasks as assigned by management  

Candidate Profile 

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office/hospital/clinic environment is required; previous experience in mental health care is preferred
  • Strong command of the English language, must be fluent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience verifying health insurance
  • Prior customer service experience (medical or mental health practices preferred)
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service over the phone, email, text
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be well organized, attentive to details and can work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must have strong computer proficiency
  • Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture

Compensation

  • $4.00/hr. USD
