Fides is an early stage LegalTech startup based out of Munich and Berlin. We are creating a data-driven & AI-enabled way to manage corporate governance duties. We will go above and beyond to make this work and expand into global jurisdictions quickly.

Founded by successful, second-time founders and funded by top-tier VCs (like Sequoia), we are preparing to make our mark in the startup heaven. We want to build something special, both in terms of product and in terms of culture. This will be a rocket ship and we need one more passenger before we can really take off!
Your mission
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Fides, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge AI solutions that enhance our Corporate Governance platform by enabling AI-powered features and Governance Workflows for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing software for our AI-driven Corporate Governance platform.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to define, prioritize, and implement key features.
  • Drive the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and testing.
  • Integrate machine learning models and other AI tools to optimize governance workflows and add innovative functionalities.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of the platform by implementing best practices in software development, code reviews, and testing.
  • Support and mentor junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
Your profile
Your Profile:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Residence in an area that is within a maximum of 3 hours time difference from Central European Time (CET).
  • Proven experience in developing scalable and reliable software using modern technologies and architecture.
  • Proficiency in our tech-stack which includes React (TypeScript) for the frontend and Node.js with Nest.js and PostgreSQL for the backend.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and experience working with automation tools such as Github Actions.
  • You like working in an agile environment and you have fun in shaping the agile software development process to make us more productive.
  • Enthusiasm and experience to mentor junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think creatively and out-of-the-box.
  • Passionate about innovation and driven to make a meaningful impact in the legal technology sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a startup or similar fast-paced environment.
  • A strong team-oriented mindset, enjoying active participation in team events and engaging with other team members.
