Job description

This is a remote position.

As a Bookkeeper, you’ll be at the forefront of financial record-keeping for a variety of clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your QuickBooks expertise, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex financial data. You’ll work with both desktop and online versions of QuickBooks, handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and tackling challenging catch-up work. Your skills will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, streamlining processes, and supporting the accounting team’s success.


Responsibilities
  • Master both desktop and online QuickBooks versions to manage daily bookkeeping tasks
  • Tackle backlog with efficient catch-up work, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date
  • Implement and maintain consistent chart of accounts across multiple clients
  • Process diverse payroll schedules including weekly, semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and monthly
  • Perform account reconciliations and prepare accurate financial statements
  • Collaborate with accountants to ensure timely and precise financial reporting
  • Adapt to various client needs and industries, showcasing versatility in financial management

Requirements

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in U.S. accounting environments
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (both desktop and online versions)
  • Strong grasp of U.S. accounting principles and best practices is a plus
  • Experience with various payroll processing schedules
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a virtual work environment
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable working remotely and adapting to flexible hours
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and prioritise tasks effectively
