Job description

We are seeking a skilled PowerBI Reports Tester to join our Global Business Intelligence team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, validating, performing regression testing, and implementing automated test processes on PowerBI reports to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency. The role reports to the head of global business intelligence, and may be based in Coimbatore, India offices or remote.

Responsibilities:

1. Test, validate, perform regression testing, and implement automated test processes on PowerBI reports to ensure accuracy and reliability.

2. Collaborate with the business intelligence team to understand the requirements and design of the PowerBI reports.

3. Identify, record, and document thoroughly any bugs or issues found during testing.

4. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing reports to meet client needs, including automated testing procedures.

5. Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

6. Monitor debugging process results and track quality assurance metrics.

7. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, including automated testing and regression testing techniques.

Qualifications:

1. Proven work experience in software quality assurance, including regression and automated testing.

2. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

3. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

4. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.

5. Hands-on experience with PowerBI or other reporting tools.

6. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.

7. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

8. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
