We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data management, and data analysis. The candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and managing our company's business intelligence data architecture to drive business decision-making and growth.
The role reports to the head of global business intelligence, and may be based in Coimbatore, India offices or remote.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop a scalable and efficient data architecture to support business intelligence needs.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.
3. Work with the development team to design and implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual data models.
4. Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
5. Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects.
6. Maintain data architecture standards across the organization.
7. Identify opportunities to optimize data flows and data management to improve overall efficiency and performance.
8. Provide technical guidance and support to the BI team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data management, and data analysis.
Proven experience in BI tools and technologies, data modeling, data warehousing, ETL tools, SQL, and data governance. Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Warehouse, and PowerBI is a must.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to design creative solutions and make critical decisions.
Experience in project management and team leadership. Familiarity with cloud-based data strategies and architectures. Certification in Azure Data Engineering or similar is a plus.
