Key Responsibilities
As a Staff Data Engineer, your role will encompass:
- Conducting data aggregations with a focus on metadata management and GenAI use cases.
- Contributing to both strategic and tactical planning to propel our platform's vision and mission forward.
- Developing tools and automation processes for managing real-time data, including access, deployment, and monitoring.
- Engaging in discussions with product and business owners to assess the feasibility of technical designs and outline a roadmap for success.
- Collaborating with senior team leaders on technical roadmaps while addressing and resolving technical challenges.
- Working alongside various teams to clarify business requirements and needs.
Required Skills
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a history of implementing and supporting real-time systems.
- Proficiency in web service standards, including REST and gRPC.
- Experience operating within an Agile environment utilizing CI/CD practices, conducting code reviews, and implementing test automation.
- Familiarity with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, DB2, Redis, and Cassandra.
- Expertise in constructing large-scale, enterprise-class distributed systems characterized by high availability, low latency, and robust data consistency.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Flink, and MapReduce.
- A solid understanding of distributed caching technologies like Redis.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience coupled with a bachelor’s degree, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or no experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or 4 years with a master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD.

Compensation And Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is between \(155,300 and \)225,300 annually, inclusive of potential incentives. Salary may vary based on relevant factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical location. This position may also be eligible for bonuses and equity, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that features medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
This hybrid role allows for a balanced work experience, with expectations to be in the office 2-3 days per week, based on leadership guidance and business requirements.
