Job description

Supports commercial lines (CL) operational and underwriting processes within guidelines by handling a variety of policy transactions that support the review and acceptance/decline of new or renewal CL business. On behalf of underwriting, claims, sales producers, and agents, compiles and/or shares policy and coverage information for assigned lines of business and customers. Ensures proper documentation and records management according to regulatory and Sentry standards.

What You’ll Do

As the Operations Technician- CL, you’ll perform a variety of processing assistance to underwriting, sales, and customers by handling a variety of tasks that support processing and issuance of our insurance business. In addition, you’ll:

  • Communicate effectively with underwriting, sales, and customers while providing basic operations and service to the business and handling tasks that support processing
  • Prepare and assemble policies and/or policy changes for mailing or electronic distribution
  • Enter, delete, or update driver information per guidelines within the policy administration system
  • Perform filing, retrieval, and distribution of various materials and documents in accordance with prescribed departments’ systems and practices
  • Assist with quality auditing and/or training of new Operations Technicians- CL
  • Upload files to content retention systems
  • Perform other job-related duties requiring the same general knowledge, skills, and degree of responsibility with assigned level-wide support and administrative assistance to our team

What it Takes

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of related work experience
  • Ability to work with detail and accuracy within established deadlines
  • Prior experience in an office setting
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Excellent multi-tasking with the ability to take direction from many sources
  • Highly organized and proficient in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to interact with co-workers and work in a team environment
