This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote role for Independent Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe audio recordings of depositions and hearings, ensuring adherence to client-specific style guides.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in discerning spoken content.
• Deliver completed transcripts punctually, respecting all deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with our supportive in-office team as needed.
  
  

Required Skills

• Significant experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
• Excellent listening abilities and outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
• Proficient typing skills, characterized by both speed and accuracy.
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Capability to process challenging audio/text content (may contain sensitive material).
• Ability to collaborate in a remote setting.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience transcribing legal content is essential.
• Court reporting students are also welcome to apply.
• Availability for weekend work is advantageous.
  
  

Technology Requirements

• High-speed internet connection and a computer or laptop.
• Noise-canceling headphones for optimal focus.
• Windows 10 operating system and an antivirus program with daily updates (excluding Webroot).
• Infinity Foot Pedal (recommended) and proficiency in Microsoft Word.
