Job description

Senior Analyst II’s are responsible for quantifying and communicating Included Health’s value to our clients. This position plays a crucial role within the Insights for Business Excellence (IBEX) team, whose mission is to translate data and business context into insights that drive the best decisions and actions for our clients and for our business. This position reports directly to the Manager, Insight Enablement & Scale, and will partner closely with other analysts focused on scale as well as analysts and actuaries on the IBEX team.  

The Insight Enablement & Scale sub-team focuses on increasing speed to insight and team impact by scaling IBEX work to other IBEX teams and to our partners. We partner closely with our Data and Growth organizations, among others, to deliver dashboards, reporting packages, and ad-hoc analysis to support the retention and growth of our clients as well as the optimization of our business strategy.

Some examples of things you might work on:
  • Determining the appropriate reports and analytics to scale, and strategically partnering with the team’s manager and other team members to find the most efficient ways to scale insights
  • Developing scalable reporting packages to support our strategic business reviews and monthly actionable insights reporting for clientsScaling insight generation and enabling other teams to self-serve key data through report automation and dashboarding projects
  • Scaling insightful analyses to deliver to the market (e.g., supporting RFPs and proposals with refreshed market-facing metrics), supporting Included Health’s growth
  • Partnering with teams within IBEX and across the company to support cross-functional efforts like ensuring new product features and underlying data are incorporated into data pipelines and reporting workflows

  • We predominantly use SQL, Python, Looker, and Google Workspace tools to complete and share our work. We primarily use Jira, Confluence, Github, and Slack for communicating, collaborating, and managing our work and documentation.

    Responsibilities:
  • Develop robust, efficient, and integrated data models that serve as the primary data sources for client reporting and analysis
  • Leverage governed data sources to build well designed content in Looker that enables and promotes self-service consumption
  • Partner with other data and analytics teams across the company to establish source of truth datasets
  • Support development of analytics infrastructure utilizing Python scripts and SQL queries that produce delivery of automated client reporting deliverables at scale
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve key data blockers that may limit the ability to deliver on analytic requests
  • Engage with and serve as a collaborative partner to the Product Marketing team, Client Success team and the greater Business Acceleration Organization to meet client reporting needs at scale, demonstrating the value of our services

  • Qualifications:
  • Expert proficiency in SQL
  • Deep experience with Python for data analysis, automation at scale, and API interaction
  • Ability to peer review complex code with high attention to detail and a critical eye
  • Experience using data visualization / BI tools to build and maintain interactive dashboards for internal and external stakeholder self-service capabilities
  • Experience developing and scaling insightful analysis using healthcare data (e.g., population health studies, health economics, strategic reporting)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn new analytical approaches
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate to and build trust with peers, clients, and other key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex issues
  • Comfort with ambiguity and defining an approach to a given question or problem using sound first principles logic
  • Experience working with various types of raw data including (but not limited to) medical/Rx claims data, eligibility data, product data, and survey data
  • Experience creating thoughtful analyses leveraging complex data and presenting the results to clients and other key stakeholders
  • Ability and comfort in providing technical mentorship to team members
  • Experience with code versioning tools such as Git 
  • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degrees a plus

  • The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:

    Zone A: $103,710 - $134,820 + equity + benefits  
    Zone B: $119,267 - $155,043 + equity + benefits  
    Zone C: $129,638 - $168,525+ equity + benefits  
    Zone D: $134,823 - $175,266 + equity + benefits 

    This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health's commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.

    Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations.
