Job description

Ardent Learning is a leader in the Automotive Industry and has been creating and delivering training for 30 years. We have partnered with the majority of manufacturers — humanizing corporate training by delivering custom learning solutions that put people first. Our solutions are tailored to meet the evolving needs of each organization we partner with.

We are seeking a Virtual Instructor-Led Training (vILT) Facilitator for an upcoming project in in the automotive industry. The vILT Facilitator encourages learners to connect over video, participate in discussions and hands-on critical-thinking exercises, test their comprehension through the platform features, and walk away from training feeling excited and ready to apply what they’ve learned. This is a long-term contract (1099) role; candidates must currently reside in North America and have the ability to deliver sessions an average of four days per week   typically during standard business hours EST/CST Monday through Thursday, with Friday being an ‘admin’ day

In This Contract Role You Will:

  • Deliver a combination of Service (primary) and Sales (secondary) courses to dealership personnel. We’re looking for a candidate who is very credible in Service, but also able to bring energy to courses covering such topics as: welcoming new hires, improving the customer experience (how to treat customers during all aspects of the customer journey), and IQS workshops focusing specifically on features that confuse customers.
  • Prepare for sesssions by: arriving early to test all technology and functionality (audio, etc.); closing open windows or applications; opening PPT and sharing your screen.
  • Effectively introduce the session by: greeting participants by name when they join; commiting that you're not going to leave anyone behind; muting all participants to reduce background noise; reviewing platform features and explaining how you’ll use them in the class.
  • Deliver content in an engaging way by: using hand raising to confirm that the participants are following along with you; avoiding asking open-ended questions while instead proactively soliciting responses through polls, chatting, hand raising, etc.
Industry Experience Required

  • Proven experience in automotive service operations and process development
  • Knowledge of standard dealership practices and processes as well as key personnel positions in both Sales and Service
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and practice, i.e. objectives, measurement, evaluation, etc.Understanding of management practices, i.e. organizing, evaluating, and directing
