Job description

This is a remote position.

Work Schedule: Full-time Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM Tulsa, OK Time with 1 hour unpaid break

What is a Bookkeeper (BK)

A Bookkeeper is an Accounting Department position who is tasked with maintaining the books for up to 30 clients depending on package size. BKs are assigned to one or multiple Account Managers and report directly to them on the status and work on your client accounts.

The Job of a BK

The primary job of a BK is to maintain and build the books in coordination with the Account Managers (AM) you are assigned to. This includes: transaction data entry, transaction categorizations, reconciliation, other tasks and JEs assigned by the AM.

Key Performance Indicators
  1. Maintain a weighted client books managed of 20+
  2. No more than 4 clients late per closing period
  3. Less than 5% error rate (mistake requiring revisiting after month close) per year

Requirements

A Bookkeeper must have exceptional skill in:

  • Time management
  • Written communication
  • Verbal communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Quickbooks Online
  • Proper Bookkeeping
  • Account Reconciliation
A BK must have proficient skills in:
  • Self-Starting
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Office etiquette
  • CRM systems - The client is using Zoho in which training will be provided

Educational Requirements 

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Finance, or equivalent degree or
  • 3+ years of paid bookkeeping experience at another firm or business
