Job Description

The Senior Sales, Retail Alternatives position will play a key role in building relationships with RIAs, Banks, Family Offices, and other intermediary channels to position Wilshire as a key solutions provider with a growing array of institutional quality fund offerings. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing and impactful product area for Wilshire. You will work closely with Senior Management, Alternative Investment, Sales and Client Services, and Product Development Teams. Day-to-day activities include conducting research to identify potential clients, devising effective outreach strategies, and leveraging marketing materials to promote our investment offerings.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for Wilshire Retail Alternatives products
  • Develop and implement effective outreach strategies and lead advisor relations
  • Articulate the benefits of adding high-quality, private markets exposure to portfolio allocation
  • Collaborate with Wilshire sales and marketing team to develop and update sales literature, marketing, and advisor education materials
  • Maintain CRM and database for all prospects and relationships
  • Stay abreast of market and industry trends for Alternative retail products
  • Ensure the involvement of appropriate subject matter experts to facilitate and close business deals effectively

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with the RIA, Bank, and Family Office community and 5-10 years in direct sales and client service
  • Demonstrable track record selling interval or tender offer funds, BDCs, or private investments
  • Relationships among professional buyers and home office investment teams
  • In depth knowledge of investment structures, buying cycles and key distribution channels
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 required
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated results in developing and maintaining client relations
  • Ability to work independently, be results-driven, and goal-oriented
  • Candidate must be collaborative, a team player, self-driven and possess strong integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to travel
