Job description

We are seeking an ambitious Finance Analyst to join the Business Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day finance operations while aligning processes to Aristocrat Labs (ALABs) strategic objectives. The role is a key business partner to the wider Finance community and the Technology leadership team at Aristocrat. This role works collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders and has a direct influence & impact on the financial and strategic direction of the organisation. You will participate in our exciting journey as we continue to build our teams and optimize our tools and processes for a new centralized, cross-business unit, gaming technology development function.

What You'll Do

  • Become a trusted finance business partner for assigned stakeholders.

  • Ensure monthly financial accounting and reporting is accurate and timely, including headcount.

  • Analysis of monthly financial variances to annual plan/forecast, cause of change, and to develop remediation approaches.

  • Partner to create annual plans and quarterly forecasts, ensuring that outputs are linked to critical drivers and ensuring that all assumptions are visible and agreed.

  • Perform monthly analysis on Technology spend to identify trends and create business insights.

  • Provide sound advice on financial transactions, ensuring adherence to company policy.

  • Identify and monitor key business drivers to drive efficiencies.

  • Create presentation materials for use in monthly and quarterly business reviews.

  • Decision support analysis as requested/identified, including preparation of Business Cases.

  • Other ad hoc projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

  • Demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • 1– 2 years experience in finance/accounting or related, including FP&A

  • Attention to detail in reviewing large sets of data and financial modeling experience.

  • A track record of following through on commitments

  • Ability to work independently and with ambiguity across multiple time zones in a fast-growing environment.

  • Solid working knowledge of finance concepts and internal controls

  • Strong modeling and system skills (Excel, TM1)

  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders (VP & Business Partners)

  • A self-starting individual, initiating action without the need to be prompted by others

  • Demand high performance of themselves and others, ensuring that goals and expectations are clear and met

Pay Range
$77,555 - $144,032 per year

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
