About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

Salesforce, the Customer Success Platform and world's #1 CRM, empowers companies to connect with their customers in a whole new way. Our Global Private Equity & VC Practice is transforming the way private equity firms create value for investors and their portfolio companies and transforming/scaling how Salesforce accelerates its growth by specializing in this broad horizontal sector across all our industries.

We are action-oriented. We provide a unique form of strategic relationship capabilities to accelerate growth, and reduce risk. Blending analysis, vision, product-oriented thought leadership, with a focus on AI and Data, business case development and an entrepreneurial approach that enables senior Private Equity executives and their Portfolio Company Executives to rethink how quickly, easily and cost-efficiently they can achieve their strategic objectives and deliver next-generation, value creation-enhancing customer experiences across sales, service, marketing and commerce using the Salesforce platform.

THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Director to join our Private Equity (PE) Practice. In this role, you will spearhead our global initiatives aimed at building, managing, and deepening strategic relationships with middle market Private Equity firms. As a key member of the PE leadership team, you will oversee a dedicated team of business development professionals, drive revenue growth, and carry an individual and team sales quota.

This is a highly visible, leadership role with cross-functional influence, requiring a blend of strategic thinking, business development, relationship management, and deep knowledge of the private equity space. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in enterprise sales, a strong understanding of the software industry, and a proven track record of driving value with Private Equity firms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead and Manage Mid-Market Program: Directly oversee and manage a team of professionals within the Private Equity practice, driving performance and achieving business objectives in line with corporate strategy.
* Private Equity Relationships: Build, develop, and manage key relationships with mid -market Private Equity firms globally. Act as the primary point of contact to understand their investment strategies, portfolio company needs, and drive the adoption of Salesforce’ software solutions.
* Revenue & Quota Responsibility: Own and drive the achievement of sales quotas, ensuring both personal and team targets are met. This includes developing strategies to increase penetration within PE firms and their portfolio companies.
* Strategic Sales Leadership: Collaborate with regional and global sales teams to ensure alignment between the PE practice and overall company objectives. Provide thought leadership on market trends, deal structuring, and client management within the PE space.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely within the other PE groups and product, marketing, and solutions teams to ensure that product offerings meet the needs of PE clients and align with industry trends.
* Salesforce Expertise: Leverage Salesforce CRM for forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting. Utilize data-driven insights to enhance sales efficiency and team performance.
* Stakeholder Management: Influence and work collaboratively with internal senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives and ensure that Private Equity client needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
* Leadership & Mentorship: Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to your direct reports. Cultivate a high-performance culture by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and developing the professional growth of the team.
* Market Insights: Maintain a deep understanding of trends in the Private Equity market, the competitive landscape, and the evolving needs of PE firms. Translate this knowledge into actionable strategies for growth.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

* Experience: 12-15 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management, with a focus on the private equity industry and enterprise software sales.
* Leadership: Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams, ideally within a sales or client-facing function.

* Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and act tactically to close business while maintaining a long-term focus on client success and relationship building.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
* Global Experience: Comfortable working in a global role, managing diverse client relationships and a geographically distributed team.
* Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

* Results-driven with a proven ability to meet and exceed ambitious targets
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and manage multiple stakeholders
