Summary

The Visual Merchandising Training Specialist II will be responsible for training, coordinating, and executing merchandising efforts in the assigned market. This individual visits stores and executes shop installations within Carhartt's Wholesale Division, to ensure that shops provide an exceptional consumer experience. The Visual Merchandising Training Specialist will communicate store information across different levels of the organization. Establishing and maintaining relationships with cross-functional partners. Visiting their assigned stores and executing shop installations will require frequent travel.

Responsibilities

  • Visiting Carhartt Wholesale accounts that have a designated selling space/shop within the store and provide Carhartt visual merchandising training to store management/associates.
  • Provide information from the store level to assist in the development of new processes and programs for the visual merchandising department.
  • Identify opportunities that will elevate the shop presentation, make certain Carhartt standards and guidelines are being met, and provide associate training that drives revenue.
  • Execute the Carhartt shop installations.
  • Communicate information and feedback from the store level to cross-functional partners (Sales, Retail Brand Marketing, Visual Merchandising) and across different levels of the organization including the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with Carhartt partners and develop strategies that will support retail merchandising activities in stores, including store evaluations, redesign of retail floor, seasonal floor sets, signage, lifestyle elements, and training.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required in Merchandising or Related Field

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4 years of visual merchandising, visual design, or marketing experience with emphasis in a multi-retailer/manufacturer’s environment required.
  • Softlines / apparel experience preferred.
  • Retail floor planning software experience preferred.
  • Experience with retail plan-o-grams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and retail partners.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload. Exceptional attention to detail.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiency required.
