Index Analytics is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with prior Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning experience to implement mission-focused solutions emphasizing data-driven decision making. The selected candidate should have experience in multiple related technologies and architect custom solutions and provide technical direction to multiple Agile teams concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile Development process.

• Provide Tier 3 support to the user community.

• Contribute to AI/ML development work done by the program.

• Refactor legacy code into Python utilizing generative AI.

• Contribute to development of automated service desk functions.

• Contribute to work done in an innovation lab that supports multiple programs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s Degree required and minimum 6+ years of data science work.
• 5+ years of Python development.
• 2+ years of Databricks preferred.
• 2+ years of SQL preferred.
• 1+ years of code migration / refactoring preferred, ideally SAS to Python.
• 1+ years of help desk / service desk automation preferred.
• 1+ years of generative AI preferred, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Monica preferred.
• Excellent communication skills preferred.

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions. Index complements its base salary offering with a competitive package that includes health and retirement benefits, discretionary bonuses, and reimbursement for professional development opportunities.
