The Role
This is a general open application to clinically licensed therapists in Maine.
Mental Health Counseling is part of a broad range of TimelyCare's digital health services that are extended to members of higher education, primarily college students. As a 1099 Licensed Clinical Therapist with TimelyCare, you will offer therapy for the members we serve, partnering with them to identify their needs, collaborate and develop treatment plans, and guide them, when necessary, to other appropriate TimelyCare services (Medical, Psychiatry, etc.).
We have a mental health team that consists of Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Clinical Psychologists.
Requirements for Contracted ServicesRequired: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Associate therapists are not applicable for this position at this time.Preferred: Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, LP/LCP)Active State License(s)Strong clinical documentation, assessment, and active listening skillsExperience with crisis intervention/de-escalation and safety/treatment planningBackground in providing services to young adults, adolescents, at-risk populations, and/or experience working in community mental health, crisis triage, or a college counseling environmentWhat Our Contracted Therapists DoProvide therapeutic counseling services and treatment planning to a primarily young adult populationDocument concurrently and submit HIPAA compliant documentation using TimelyCare's electronic health recordDevelop and submit treatment plans and progress notes following each sessionCommunicate cross functionally with other teams/departments in order to support care continuation as neededAdhere to established standards for documentation quality and code of ethicsExpectations for Contracted ServicesWork with the student/client to establish and develop treatment goals and document accordinglyUtilize active listening skills and evidence based modalities (SFBT, CBT, DBT, MI, ACT) in order to build rapport, establish boundaries, and progress student/client careSubmit appropriate documentation in the EHR (the TimelyCare platform) in a punctual mannerPrepared to adapt to the changing needs of the population we serveAble to remain calm and maintain composure during a potential high stress scenarioRespond with empathy, professionalism, and meet clients where they are atModel respectful conduct with all students, peers, and support staffHighlights of Contracted Services Timely: Expected session time is 45–50 minutes, with the time remaining for documentation (60 minutes total)Bye bye, burnout: Provide remote care from the convenience of your home or professional office space while maintaining a healthy work/life balanceHassle free: Don’t worry about reimbursement, billing codes, or insurance credentialing. TimelyCare does not work with insurance providers and partners directly with colleges and universities across the country.
