Job Description

What is the opportunity?
You will review and communicate credit decisions for complex Mortgage Specialist deals.  You will provide exceptions requiring expert knowledge, experience and analysis relative to risk policy. You will assess the inherent risks while respecting Bank policies and recommend exceptions to credit principles, rules and guidelines. You will develop a strong relationship with sales and service partners by providing ongoing coaching to ensure optimal client satisfaction.

Please Note: This is a hybrid opportunity for applicants within commuting distance to 2985 Virtual Way, Vancouver.

  • Effectively communicate and reinforce RBC Vision, organizational values and strategic direction of Credit Adjudication
  • Provide leadership to achieve a superior client experience, profitable business growth and productivity
  • Provide the right decision the first time
  • Demonstrate teamwork, including the four Essentials of Colleague Care with team and partners
  • Positively impact the sales force through quality coaching and valuable feedback
  • Ensure submissions include sound credit judgment and adherence to policy and procedures
  • Resolve escalated client issues or credit guideline/policy gaps
  • Identify innovation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Centre

What do you need to succeed?  
Must-have 

  • Lending experience, including mortgage financing and/or Personal Credit
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of lending guidelines and policy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to work shifts within the business hours of 7am - 7pm Monday-Friday and 8am-4pm on Saturdays

Nice to have

  • Advice centre, branch or adjudication experience
