Job description

Small Giant is one of the top-performing mobile gaming companies in the world.

We at Small Giant are looking for a QA Specialist. You will work closely with the developers from the planning and design phase all the way to deploying the features to production and handling live issues with our player support team. Our developers test their own code, but you will help ensure they've covered all bases. You will have an important role in the overall quality of our games portfolio, including automated testing and release management.

Small, skilled, and independent teams can accomplish gigantic things. We know the best teams are created by hiring the best individuals and by trusting these individuals with ownership and responsibility for the work they do. Transparency, low hierarchy, and a good work-life balance are not just buzzwords for us but critical parts of our culture. We focus on the essentials while constantly looking to learn more and improve our products, our processes, and how we work together as a company.

Main responsibilities:

  • Testing game features, events, and other content throughout the development pipeline
  • Collaborating with game developers, QA specialists, designers, and artists of the development team
  • Participating in milestone planning and release process
  • Helping with solving critical issues in live games

We hope you have at least the following qualities:

  • Keen interest in video games, especially mobile games and RPGs
  • Good communication skills
  • Smart and quick to learn
  • Self-driven, proactive, and willing to take ownership
  • An organized way of working; the ability to multitask and finish your tasks while keeping an eye on the bigger picture
  • Some professional or hobbyist experience in testing or software development in general, for example, participating in game jams.
  • A positive “can-do” attitude

 We offer you:

  • Exciting, fun - and highly successful - projects to work on.
  • Extremely talented and helpful colleagues.
  • Lots of power and responsibility.
  • Office conveniently located in downtown Helsinki and flexible remote working possibilities.
  • Competitive salary and other benefits.

Apply now!

We are constantly on the lookout for top talent to join our team. Whether you have years of experience, or you’re enthusiastic, smart, and quick to learn – we’d love to hear from you!
