Job description

Every day, the world gets more digital thanks to tens of millions of developers building the future faster than ever. But with exponential growth comes exponential risk, as outnumbered security teams struggle to secure mountains of code. This is where Snyk (pronounced “sneak”) comes in. Snyk is a developer security platform that makes it easy for development teams to find, prioritize, and fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure — and do it all right from the start. Snyk is on a mission to make the world a more secure place by empowering developers to develop fast and stay secure.

Joining Snyk means embracing our core values: One Team, Care Deeply, Customer Centric, and Forward Thinking. As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment where fostering collaboration, leading with empathy, driving business impact, and inspiring trust are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-paced Procurement Team. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Procurement Business Partners to support our R&D and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams, including Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing. As a key partner and subject matter expert, you’ll handle sourcing, supplier negotiations, onboarding, contract reviews, and provide end-to-end Source-to-Pay support.

You'll spend your time:

  • Leading and managing assigned sourcing, purchasing, and renewal activities for the R&D (Engineering/Product) and GTM  (Marketing) functions, while also supporting other areas when needed. This involves following a documented, collaborative evaluation process, and proactively creating action plans for new purchases and renewals across Marketing, Professional Services, Technology, and SaaS.
  • Analysing spend data to proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to address them.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, collaborating on purchasing strategies, negotiating pricing, and other business terms with suppliers for new purchases and high-value renewals.
  • Developing pricing models based on supplier proposals to assess different buying scenarios in line with future growth and current demand.
  • Helping teams evaluate their purchasing practices and adopt a value-driven mindset when buying on behalf of the organisation.
  • Contributing to ad-hoc projects or other procurement-related tasks as needed.

You should apply if you:

  • You are smart, hungry and humble with 3+ years of experience in procurement with a focus on strategic sourcing, with a track record of negotiated savings in relevant categories.
  • You’ve worked in a high-growth global company (ideally software) and understand the complexities of expanding offices, managing global initiatives, leveraging purchasing power, and eliminating silos.
  • You’re confident in analysing and presenting complex data to executives and business unit partners.
  • You have the ability to analyse and propose various commercial models ahead of any new purchases and renewals.
  • Highly organised and proactive, you can manage multiple projects at once with a strong bias for action.
  • Have a radical focus on customer service.
  • You’ve built strong partnerships with stakeholders and are skilled at analysing costs related to both growth and current demand.
  • You thrive in ambiguous environments and are comfortable working within grey areas.
  • You understand key optimization levers such as demand management, consolidation, and price negotiation.
  • You demonstrate strong ownership and accountability while managing competing priorities.
  • You have experience in reading and reviewing commercial agreements, in particular spotting issues around term, termination, billing, etc.

#LI-TF1

We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’ve created and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech. If you like the sound of this role but are not totally sure whether you’re the right person, do apply anyway!
