ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This critical role is key in driving high quality growth, delivery and world class customer experiences as part of the Field Service Engineering Team of the Samsung Digital Radiography (DR) business. Under the general supervision of the Regional FSE Manager, this role will perform duties pertaining to installation, calibration, corrective repair, preventive maintenance and decommissioning of digital radiography equipment and systems to ensure safe and appropriate operations. Supporting other modalities such as Ultrasound is sometimes required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assignedExecutes scheduled preventive maintenance and maintains documentation of all service events, tests, and corrective maintenance performed on Samsung digital radiography imaging technologiesConsults and collaborates with key stakeholders to prepare for installation and deployment of Samsung digital radiography imaging technologies, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, gas, pneumatics, software, networking and integration to data/information retention systemsPerforms or coordinates assembly and installation, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, software, networking and integration to data/information retention systemsPrepares periodic maintenance instructionsPerforms required safety inspection and performance assuranceAssess for compliance with HIPAA storage and security policiesCompletes documentation for entry into the centralized maintenance management systemCompletes and maintains system function, configuration and support documentationEnsures compliance with all federal/state/local rules and regulations and all applicable policies and proceduresDirectly performs or schedules with dealers or outside independent service vendors the performance assessment and preventive maintenance, and documents work performed Reviews outcome of repairs, preventive maintenance actions taken by dealers and independent service organizations and makes recommendations concerning changes to preventive maintenance schedules, procedures, or documentationAnalyze and correct malfunctions. Analysis and corrective methods include but are not limited to observation of front panel and controls; interpretation of block and schematic diagrams; utilization of appropriate test equipment; replacement of components, PC boards, sub-systems and software; adjustment and restoration of network connectivity and integration to data/information retention systems; calibration and adjustment to manufacturers specifications; working with clinical and engineering personnel to correct operator based problemsPerforms investigative evaluation involved in patient and employee incidents / accidents. Document’s findings and reports as requiredPerforms or coordinates the decommissioning of Samsung digital radiography imaging technologies and other medical equipment per established policiesAssists, as required, with staff in-service education.
