Defense Mission Expert
Key Role:
Provide subject matter expertise in support of the Air Force and Joint mission areas. Provide expert consultation supporting organizing, training, and equipping functions, including Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) activities, Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and Concepts of Employment (CONEMPS). Integrate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for operational and strategic changes. Prepare and deliver reports and briefings to clients and senior leaders. Leverage knowledge of operations and defense acquisition processes to analyze government acquisitions and develop capture strategies. Provide supervisory and thought leadership to teams supporting mobility missions. Take a leadership role in generating intellectual capital to help the firm grow its business.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of experience with participating in Air Force airpower mission areas
Experience with Major Command (MAJCOM) level staff and Joint
Knowledge of Air Combat Command’s organizational construct and global missions as well as United States Strategic Command
Ability to research, develop, organize, and present materials for senior company and DoD leadership
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with aircraft acquisition, modernization, communications, and command and control systems
Experience with developing and managing information technology systems
Experience with using analytical tools to display the impacts of capability tradeoffs and impacts on potential alternatives
Experience with performing risk analyses and proposing risk mitigations
Experience with Joint Exercises
Experience with technical writing
Knowledge of the DoD requirements and acquisition processes
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
