FP&A Management Accountant - Darwen

Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

Reporting to the FP&A Finance Controller, you will use your great technical knowledge, attention to detail and problem solving skills to provide information, analysis, reports & support to colleagues.  Using your insight you will directly influence commercial business decisions taken by senior management, so your approach and financial information must be robust. Alongside a commitment to developing your career, you will have a strong work ethic to support a highly focused team in a fast paced environment.

Job Description
 

Here are some of responsibilities of your role………

  • Producing relevant, meaningful & accurate commercial & management information / analysis with a clear and concise presentation of reports to enable effective decision making
  • Monthly Reporting on Sales & Margin, Overheads & Balance Sheet
  • Attendance at Month End review meetings
  • Direct involvement in production, consolidation, reporting & analysis of the periodic forecasts for Sales and Overheads
  • Support business decisions and new business cases by developing tools to improve sales and profitability forecasting and planning.
  • Driving process standardisation
  • Reviewing, collating and reporting of commercial overheads, challenging any key variances
  • Ad Hoc reports and analysis as and when required.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Experience of working in industry, particularly in a manufacturing/retail environment.
  • An in-depth understanding of business operations; possess a keen eye for detail
  • Prioritise and manage multiple tasks/projects using effective time management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to focus on relevant detail, without losing track of the bigger picture
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build/maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the business
  • Uses initiative to find solutions and approaches problems with curiosity and open mindedness
  • Previous experience in a management accounting type role is essential
  • Be a strong team player and a self-starter
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, specifically pivot tables, formulas, V- and H- lookups, IF statements
  • Newly Qualified / Finalist (ACCA/ACMA)
