Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Salesforce CPQ Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) and proven experience in enhancing and managing CPQ functionalities to optimize the sales process. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and improving the CPQ system to meet business requirements, ensuring the sales team can create accurate quotes, manage pricing, and streamline approvals efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

CPQ System Management & Configuration:

  • Manage and configure Salesforce CPQ to support the sales team’s needs, including product bundling, pricing, discounting, and approval workflows.
  • Ensure accurate and effective setup of price books, product catalogs, pricing rules, and discount schedules.
  • Configure and maintain CPQ customizations, including custom fields, page layouts, and user permissions.
  • Continuously optimize CPQ processes to streamline quote generation, reduce errors, and improve the overall sales process.

Enhancements & Customization:

  • Collaborate with sales operations, finance, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the CPQ platform.
  • Design and implement enhancements to the CPQ system, ensuring that customizations align with business processes and objectives.
  • Work closely with developers to support custom Apex and Lightning Component implementations for advanced CPQ functionalities.

Process Automation:

  • Create and maintain automated workflows within Salesforce CPQ to streamline quoting, pricing, and approval processes.
  • Use Salesforce Flow and Process Builder to automate repetitive tasks, reducing manual intervention and improving data accuracy.

User Support & Training:

  • Provided day-to-day support for Salesforce CPQ users, troubleshooted issues, and ensured the system was functioning properly.
  • Train sales team members and other stakeholders on CPQ features and best practices.
  • Ensure data accuracy within CPQ, including regular audits of products, pricing, and quote data.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards related to CPQ, including sales performance, quote activity, and product sales trends.
  • Monitor and analyze CPQ performance metrics, providing insights to sales and executive teams on quoting efficiency and system usage.

System Maintenance:

  • Perform regular system maintenance and updates, ensuring CPQ functionality remains aligned with Salesforce platform updates and best practices.
  • Stay current with Salesforce CPQ updates and new features, applying relevant improvements to the system as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ administration, configuration, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of CPQ-related features such as product configuration, pricing strategies, discounting models, and quote generation.
  • Experience with Salesforce platform administration, including creating custom fields, validation rules, and managing user permissions.
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification preferred.
  • Experience with Apex and Lightning Components (preferred but not required).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex CPQ issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
