Job description

Overview:

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Grants Administration Analyst to join our Fort Myers, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities:
  • Locating, applying for, and administering grants on behalf of our clients, which include local governments, agencies, and organizations.

    • These grants may be used as funding for a variety of development purposes and projects.

    • Funding sources may include Federal, State, and Local agencies, as well other sources such as Legislative Appropriations, foundations, or other third-party organizations. 

    • This funding may be used for a variety of development purposes and projects.

       

  • Establishing organizational tools to facilitate grant management

  • Maintaining the annual program calendar by strategic business planning (identifying clients, project, and grants that align and proposing targeted outreach to internal partners and clients)

  • Researching and being fluent in the requirements of a wide variety of grants and third-party funding opportunities

  • Developing grant proposals

  • Directly communicating and coordinating with the client

  • Coordinating with internal partners at Kimley-Horn regarding technical aspects of the grant application requirements

  • Formulating grant and/or third-party funding applications

  • Completing grant specific reports

  • Coordinating with our marketing team for graphics and support

  • Managing grant submittals as requested on behalf of client

  • Other similar duties may be assigned 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Planning, Finance, English, Public Administration, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related
    • Courses in grant writing, administration, and management is a plus
  • Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization.
