Job description

Do you know your FTSE from your NASDAQ? Your BlackRock from your BlackStone? Do you know how to write and create compelling content that engages and entertains people? Do you want to come to work everyday to build amazing content?

If that sounds like you, we want you to be our next Investments Content Exec.

Working very closely with the Investments Content Manager, you’ll sit on our Investments Squad, and your wider team will be our highly collaborative in-house creative team.

Day-to-day, you’ll be paired with a CRM manager and exec, and work with them to create the right content that’s delivered to the right people at the right time, to encourage them to open investments accounts, regularly top their investments, and navigate the market.

Specifically you will be tasked with writing emails, blogs, webpages, push notifications, app and social content as needed. You’ll also be expected to edit, proof and peer review your colleagues' work as a key part of our in-house creative team’s QA process.

We want someone who's immersed in investments and current affairs. If you’re the kind of person who reads the FT, has opinions about the fiscal black hole, and follows the markets, we want you. Alternatively, if you’re not an expert but take a keen interest in the world of finance and are willing to learn, that’s okay too.

You’ll need a head for numbers and the technical side of investing. A lot of the job is looking at investment jargon and sheets of data and telling our customers what they actually need to know in simple accessible language.

But you also need to have a strong creative streak, know how to structure an article, write tight impactful copy and have a feeling for both written and visual storytelling.

If you know your way around canva/figma etc, and platform native social media content tools that’d be a huge plus too.

This is a junior role. So, we’re open to recent graduates, but if you don’t have any work experience in finance or content marketing, we’ll need to see evidence that you can write/create content and have a genuine interest in the industry.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Working very closely with the CRM team to deliver impactful content with a performance mindset
  • Working as part of a collaborative and driven in-house creative team
  • Creating investment content for all our channels
  • Writing emails, push notifications, blogs, webpages
  • Proofing, QA and peer review content
  • Keeping a library of content up to date
  • Making data driven optimisations to content

What we’re looking for:

  • Switched on to current affairs
  • Strong interest in investing / finance
  • Head for numbers and data
  • Evidence of content creation / writing ability (a portfolio of work, a blog)
  • Impressive attention to detail
  • Have worked in collaborative environment
  • Drive to come to work to move metrics and win
  • This is a junior role, suitable for recent graduate, or someone with a few years marketing or content experience looking to get into fintech.

Nice to have

  • Fintech experience
  • Exposure to direct response copywriting / CRM content creation
  • Any financial journalism experience
  • Experience with Figma, Miro, or canva

What we’re really looking for: ✍️

Someone with a genuine interest in Chip and is excited about being part of a fast-growing company and our mission to build the investment super app of the future.

Although we’re in the financial space, and under the scrutiny that comes with it, the current marketing team works well together, and even sometimes with a smile. We’re sure you’ve got the technical skills, otherwise, you would have stopped reading by now, so let us be clear on what will make us want to work with you.

We want a real person, with interests outside of work, to join our team. You could be a dancer, a gamer, a musician, a parent, a hockey fan, or even that one person that still writes Twilight fan-fiction. Doesn’t matter to us.

At the interview stages, we will be looking for empathy, eq, fun stories, and the ability to smile even when things are tough.
