Position Summary:
Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time Financial Services Manager on the Fond du Lac Campus. The Financial Services Manager is responsible for leading, maintaining, and overseeing the financial operations of the College including accounting, payroll, student finance and financial reporting.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field and five years of progressively more responsible experience in an accounting/finance environment, including supervisory experience, with at least 2 years of governmental accounting experience.

Responsibilities:
• Direct, manage and monitor day-to-day financial operations of the College including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed asset management, cash management, student accounts, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain the College’s financial accounting system and internal controls with responsibility for timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including monitoring all ledger activity for data integrity and accuracy issues. Oversee routine account reconciliations as well as monthly and year-end closing. Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Develop and coordinate the implementation of procedures and guidelines to ensure legal and/or regulatory compliance for all fiscal service activities, including accounting, audit procedures, cash management, reporting, and budgeting in compliance with WTCS rules, GASB standards, generally accepted accounting principles, and other federal, state and College policies as appropriate.
• Coordinate the annual audit process and implement the recommendations of auditors in accordance with accounting practices and regulations. Manage other program audits as appropriate.
• Assists with the development of the annual comprehensive financial report (ACFR), the institutional plan and budget, and prepare or review all other College financial reporting for federal, state, and grant compliance.
• Assists with the annual budget development process and related documentation.
• Collaborate within Financial Services and other units to develop and implement processes and activities that are simple to use, efficient and effective, incorporate data analysis, maximize the employee experience and assist leadership to accomplish the strategic priorities of the College.
• Maintain and administer Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) access to ensure proper access is granted to employees while maintaining adequate internal controls. Serve as ERP Finance functional lead; initiate, develop and provide employee training related to budgeting and finance.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience with computerized financial information systems and their use in financial analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively Ability to provide a complete and timely explanation of issues and decisions to ensure customer understanding and alignment with the College values.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism and a demonstrated ability to respect the confidentiality of information and demonstrate critical and systems thinking.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
• High degree of organizational skills and the ability to quickly interpret and synthesize data and information from multiple sources to develop insights and recommendations.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work; analyze information, resolve problems and make recommendations. Knowledge of continuous and performance improvement concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
Hiring Range: $80,105-$100,130
Starting: January 2025
