The Mid Security Engineer will be a highly skilled and motivated. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to safeguard our network, systems, and data against potential cyber threats. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of security best practices, threat mitigation strategies, and hands-on experience with security tools in both cloud and on-premises environments. Additionally, the Mid-Level Security Engineer will be responsible for developing and configuring the defensive cybersecurity posture of the customer’s Internet Access Point and Boundary Cloud Access Point. You will also work closely with the project team to ensure secure configuration and operation of various security technologies, ensuring compliance with DoDIN requirements and achieving full security compliance within the customer agency. 

Skill Requirements:  

• Must have experience with the following technologies: Palo-Alto, Gigamon, Trellix Fire Eye, Core Light, and other inline tools to support higher headquarters compliance directives. 
• Must have experience with performing policy enforcement and configuration for required tools.
• Must have experience with DISA STIGs and Vendor Best practices.
• Must have experience with firewall tuning and firewall change requests to support operational needs.

Education: 

• Bachelor’s of Science degree

 Experience: 

• 5+ years of experience

 Certifications: 

• CISSP
