Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Credentialing Coordinator, under the direction of the Credentialing Specialist provides coordination of credentialing and re-credentialing of facilities, physicians and allied providers per organizational policies, delegated entities, accreditation agencies and other government requirements. The individual will assist with onsite visits for review of credentialing files per the accrediting bodies and organizational standards. The Credentialing Coordinator acts as a resource on credentialing polices and processes for Security Health Plan (SHP) staff and provides administrative support for maintaining credentialing documents, meeting minutes and provider data in the credentialing software.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred/Optional: Associates degree in healthcare, business, accounting or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Three years’ experience in healthcare operations. Demonstrated proficiency the Microsoft Office Suite and with written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred/Optional: Experience working with facility and provider credentialing.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
