Job description

Our Team:

Vista’s Engineering and Analytics organization is working to make our company one of the world’s most well-known and successful data-driven companies. The cross-functional team includes product owners, analysts, technologists, data engineers and more – all focused on providing Vista with information and tools we can use to deliver jaw-dropping customer value. Data & Analytics team members are empowered to learn new skills, communicate openly and be active problem-solvers. Find out more at https://vista.io/

What You Will Do:

As a Lead Analyst on Vista’s Omnichannel Analytics Team, you will play a critical role in shaping our marketing strategy through data-driven insights. Your primary focus will be on analyzing media spend decisions using Marketing Mix Modeling, attribution analysis, and lift studies to evaluate both short- and long-term campaign performance. Additionally, you will have opportunities to delve into other areas of marketing with your teammates, including site merchandising experience, direct marketing, and content marketing initiatives.

Who You Will Be:
  • A marketing partner, partnering closely with media experts to influence media spend planning and mentoring other analysts.

  • A great teammate, with the ability to coordinate across domains and time zones to see a project through all the way from ideation and analysis to documentation and presentation.

  • An internal consultant, sharing concrete insights to help your marketing partners make better decisions on the full spectrum of the customer journey. This includes making recommendations on channel selection and budget allocation and conducting site analyses for user experience improvements.

  • A storyteller, simplifying complex analytical concepts using data visualizations and concise narratives tailored to your audience. You will also communicate risks and dependencies to help with prioritization.

  • An experimenter, designing and analyzing lift studies (e.g., A/B tests and in-platform Conversion Lift Studies) and developing measurement proposals to assess and refine marketing activities.

  • A student, learning new skills to get to the best possible recommendations when required by using in-house resources and training opportunities, including unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning, to enhance your skills.

  • An owner, identifying and addressing issues that may fall outside of your immediate responsibilities, as well as speaking up about potential challenges and proactively offering solutions.

Your Qualifications:

At Vista, we are striving to hire individuals that add new ideas and perspectives to our teams and enhance our culture. No matter your background or work experience, we strongly encourage you to apply—even if you feel that you don’t meet the exact requirements or have the same qualifications. You might be a great candidate for this or other opportunities.

  • 5+ years in an analytics environment and 1+ years of experience independently designing, executing, and analyzing A/B experiments

  • Experience working as a data planner or at a media agency supporting planning decisions, including spend management using Marketing Mix Modeling, attribution analysis, and lift studies

  • Advanced technical skills in SQL (Snowflake) and any visualization tools (eg. Looker, Power BI, Tableau)

  • Strong understanding of exploratory analysis and statistical techniques and skilled in finding important patterns and trends in the data

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to deconstruct business requests into clear questions and develop targeted analytical approaches for meaningful insights

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to articulate points clearly based on the audience and maintain relationships with key business partners effectively, ensuring alignment and support for strategic initiatives

  • Excellent organizational skills, good attention to detail and consistent record of effectively delivering on projects supporting multiple business partners to make decisions

Nice to Have:
  • Familiar with programming languages (e.g., Python, R)

  • Experience in e-commerce

  • Experience with Statsig or similar experimentation tools
