Job Overview

We are in search of a skilled UX Researcher to become an integral part of our forward-thinking team. This role is pivotal in steering transformation and fostering innovation by delivering essential insights and research findings that drive substantial business and product advancements. As a key member of the Retail work stream, you will engage in close collaboration with Experience Designers, Managers, and the broader UX Research team, as well as our Customer Marketing Insights (CMI) organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in understanding customer needs, enabling us to craft effective and delightful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a wide range of research activities, including user interviews, field studies, journey mapping, concept testing, and shop-alongs to extract insights from our client's retail environments.
  • Oversee the complete research lifecycle, from strategic planning and data collection to the creation of insights presented to senior leadership.
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops and in-depth sessions, offering crucial research support as required.
  • Transform research findings into impactful insights and narratives.
  • Investigate syndicated and secondary research sources to deepen our understanding of customer behaviors and trends.
  • Ensure a positive experience for participants by maintaining comfort, confidentiality, and documenting sessions as needed.

Required Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of relevant user research experience.
  • Proficiency in various user research techniques, including usability testing, user interviews, and diary studies, especially within the brick-and-mortar retail sector.
  • Strong aptitude in defining and planning research methodologies aligned with project objectives and timelines.
  • Experience in secondary data analysis, including trends and insights.
  • Proven track record in moderating and planning field studies and usability assessments in both in-person and remote settings.
  • Demonstrated influence of UX Research on business and product strategies.
  • A degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Sociology, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Competence in traditional research methods as well as UX/UI and digital research.
  • Experience in delivering insights to enhance digital engagement across platforms (e.g., websites, applications, APIs).

Compensation And Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from \(190,000 to \)200,000. Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. This range represents a component of our comprehensive compensation package.
