Join our esteemed CPA firm based in the Bronx, New York, recognized for our nurturing and talented team. We are seeking a dedicated Junior Auditor to become a valued member of our expanding organization. If you possess 2-5 years of audit experience within a CPA setting, we encourage you to reach out. Your skills in audits, reviews, and compilations, along with your proficiency in CaseWare/PPC SMART Practice Aids (or similar engagement software), will be crucial as we continue to enhance our professional development offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assigned audits and assurance engagements from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
  • Prepare planning documentation and perform comprehensive risk assessments for designated clients.
  • Implement internal control testing procedures.
  • Collect and evaluate audit evidence, ensuring that conclusions are well-documented.
  • Identify and articulate any issues encountered during the engagement, offering insightful recommendations for resolution.
  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and any supplementary information.
  • Communicate tasks clearly and succinctly to the engagement team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, precise, and efficient results.
  • Participate actively in learning and development initiatives, including continuing professional education (CPE) and training programs.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is paramount.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Pivot Tables is essential.

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • A current CPA License is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years auditing experience in an accounting firm is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends during the tax season (January-April).
