Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical professional to join our team as a Junior Project Financial Analyst, working remotely. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with project managers and finance teams to provide essential financial insights that drive the successful execution of our projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project financial performance by monitoring budgets and forecasts in our ERP system, while delivering timely financial reports to project teams.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and assist in managing customer changes from a financial perspective, validating project profitability against established benchmarks.
  • Review and approve project invoices aligned with customer purchase orders, ensuring prompt and accurate billing processes.
  • Spearhead the development of integrated project forecasts and Estimate at Completion (EAC) reports, analyzing costs, progress, risks, and opportunities, presenting findings to management and clients.
  • Establish and maintain project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial controls and guidelines.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, formulating strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Supervise and reconcile contract funding and modifications, ensuring compliance with internal and governmental accounting standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive project financial reports and assist with contract close-out and audit processes.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of prioritizing and multitasking effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models.
  • Knowledge of Government contracts, FAR, CAS, and GAAP principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in engaging with various management levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, project pricing models, or scenario analysis.
