Job Overview

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic team as Junior Procurement Management Analysts, providing essential procurement support for our esteemed U.S. Navy client. In this critical role, you will leverage your business process expertise and analytical skills to assist various commands within the Department of Defense (DoD). This position offers the flexibility of partial remote work, though candidates should be within reasonable proximity to Crane, Indiana, to attend on-site meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily program operations and track the progress of procurement activities.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on procurement-related issues.
  • Assist in data collection to implement relevant regulatory and policy guidance.
  • Collaborate with various organizations and clients to validate procurement forms, ensuring accuracy in asset and OM&S.
  • Verify government funding and screen mandatory sources of supply for compliance.
  • Input pertinent data into the Navy ERP system.
  • Manage the submission and tracking of all MILSTRIP and purchase card requisitions, keeping a detailed tracking sheet.
  • Monitor the division mailbox and manage incoming requests efficiently.
  • Request necessary IT determinations to facilitate procurement requests.
  • Provide top-notch customer service while gathering procurement requirements from government Requiring Technical Authority (RTA) and Technical Points of Contact (POCs).
  • Ensure accuracy in vendor information and compliance with mandatory source requirements when applicable.
  • Review and complete PR forms for correctness and thoroughness.
  • Ascertain that all part numbers have a UMM/NIIN.
  • Maintain metrics for purchase card and MILSTRIP requisitions, staying informed about MILSTRIP advice codes.
  • Track and report all relevant information until successful procurement of materials.
  • Utilize ERP to offer approval information and status updates.
  • Communicate weekly tracking updates with the entire division.
  • Analyze and compile procurement data and packages, providing recommendations to enhance quality, timelines, and efficiencies.
  • Maintain meeting minutes, manage documentation, and execute data entry tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by government leadership.

  • Proven experience in preparing, interpreting, and presenting data effectively.
  • Strong analytical, finance, and computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Skills to thrive under tight deadlines and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, or candidates with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane is advantageous.
