Role: Equisoft is looking for a Business Analyst who will be responsible for requirements gathering, functional analysis, as well as support in the planning and coordination of project activities.

Working as part of a project team, the Business Analyst will work closely with customers and act as liaison between the project team and the customer. The Business Analyst will gather formal customer requirements and translate them into clearly defined deliverables for the implementation team. The Business Analyst will act as an expert in the insurance domain as well as in the Equisoft platform to be deployed.

Your Day With Equisoft

  • Organize briefings with the customer on business processes, technical processes, non-functional requirements and political, actuarial and financial data requirements. Coordinate with consultants and customer to ensure financial and accounting needs are covered.
  • Translate insurance product requirements into business and functional requirements, and translate insurance business processes, market practices and other customer business needs into specific software requirements.
  • Work with customer team leaders and subject matter experts to identify and document solutions, define project scope, estimates and schedule
  • Present and recommend solutions to customers to meet their business needs
  • Support the project manager as well as the development team by holding detailed business requirements documentation, sprint planning, backlog preparation and identification of out-of-scope requirements and change requests

Requirements

Technical

  • Bachelor's Degree corresponding experience, and ability to communicate, write and synthesize information. Formal experience in business analysis is a definite asset.
  • Good understanding of wealth management products, administration processes and the tax treatment of registered investments
  • Experience working with fund and investment administration systems, and the ability to learn how administration products and processes are implemented on one or more Equisoft platforms
  • Experience with OIPA (Oracle Insurance Policy Administration) or Equisoft products is an asset. Understanding of insurance is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize activities effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Spanish is an asset
  • Understanding of the software development cycle. Some technical knowledge is an asset
  • Ability to travel nationally and/or internationally
