The Digital Pathology Application Consultant will be part of the Digital Pathology Team in Italy. This position, reporting to the Italian National Sales Manager, is remote and entails both pre- and post-sales support to ensure successful deployment and use of Leica Biosystems’ solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • IT and Workflow Solutions: Audit customer IT systems and recommend improvements related to PACS, DICOM, storage, LIS systems, data security, and system integration.
  • Support Sales Processes: Pre-sales: Engage in need analysis, solution design, and demonstrating hardware/software applications. Post-sales: Provide ongoing application support for customers’ digital solutions.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Team and Collaboration: Work as part of the Italian Digital Pathology team and the broader European team; contribute to a professional environment where uniqueness and contributions are valued.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Degree in Informatics or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Native Italian speaker; fluent in English.
  • Multiple years in clinical pathology laboratories
  • Computer and network skills and knowledge of workflows and methodologies of communication and integration of instrumentation with laboratory LIS (DICOM-HL7..)
  • Strong orientation towards teamwork and operational flexibility

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – 80 % travel, overnight, within territory or locations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Commercial and/or application sales experience in Digital Pathology
  • Commercial and/or application sales experience in Pathological Anatomy
