Are you passionate about driving innovation in the automotive industry through advanced data technologies? VxLabs is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer skilled in Node.js to join our team. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining sophisticated backend services that support real-time data processing and analytics. As part of our engineering team, you will build scalable systems on cloud and utilize the latest in cloud technologies to deliver Leading-Edge automotive data products.

What You'll Be Doing:

·       Architect and build robust backend services using Node.js.

·       Developing and maintaining server-side logic and architecture to support high-volume data flows.

·       Design and manage API integrations and data storage solutions tailored to product needs. Ensure APIs are well-documented to facilitate maintenance and future upgrades.

·       Ensure optimal performance and scalability of applications leveraging cloud technologies.

·       Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.

·       Mentoring junior developers and sharing your expertise to elevate the team's skills.

·       Collaborate closely with data teams and front-end developers to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Requirements

·       5+ years of backend development experience.

·       Minimum 3 years of experience building backend services in Node.js.

·       Experience with RESTful API design and development, including versioning and documentation.

·       Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, with a focus on query performance optimization.

·       Background in data technologies and frameworks suitable for large-scale processing.

·       Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS cloud services and others.

·       Experience building secure APIs, using token-based authentication.

·       Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

·       Understanding of design patterns and best practices for large-scale applications.

·       Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and code versioning tools.

·       Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) practices.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

·       Prior experience in the automotive industry or working with IoT platforms.

·       Knowledge of additional backend languages (Python, Ruby) and frameworks.

·       Experience with advanced data security practices and compliance standards.
