It's concierge, reimagined for the digital age.

What unites us are the values we share: the relentless pursuit and celebration of excellence, actualizing the full potential of our lives, and impacting the world in a positive way.

Capital One provides a fast paced, dynamic environment where you can excel in your career. At Capital One, diversity, inclusion & belonging are valued at our core, sparking and enabling us to do good for our associates, customers and communities. Guided by our shared values, we thrive in an environment where collaboration and openness are valued. We nurture an environment that attracts and develops talent from all backgrounds and experiences, and empower our associates to do great work by creating a culture of belonging that values diverse perspectives, fosters collaboration and encourages innovative ideas – and are routinely recognised as one of the best companies to work for.

About this role

Join our Engagement Department and App Content team as a Designer and Digital Asset Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, selecting, creating and editing high-quality and on-brand images to elevate Velocity Black's digital presence and content for our members-only mobile app. The ideal candidate possesses strong graphic design skills, a keen eye for detail, impeccable organisational skills, and a deep understanding of visual aesthetics.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate closely with various teams to ensure our imagery reflects the essence of our offering.

  • Procure images for our member app through direct sourcing (via our relationship management teams), online image banks, stock library sites, graphic design and photographers to acquire high-quality imagery that aligns with Velocity Black's standards.

  • Ensure all sourced imagery is licensed correctly with licensing agreements organised and documented thoroughly.

  • Continuously develop and improve the image request process to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

  • Where necessary, crop and colour correct imagery.

  • Work closely with the editorial teams to coordinate on visual storytelling elements.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in graphic design, picture research or a related field, preferably within the luxury sector.

  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to discern what looks visually appealing.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and meet deadlines while keeping stakeholders informed of expected delays or problems.

  • Proficiency in documenting image sources and securing necessary usage approvals.

  • Passion for luxury lifestyle from travel to dining, and a deep appreciation for aesthetics and design is a bonus.

  • Proficiency in photo-editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other graphic design tools.

  • Experience using Email sending platforms such as Mailchimp and design tools such as Figma.

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent, remote position. Please note, to be eligible to apply to this role, you must reside in the UK.

What’s in it for you

  • Bring us all this - and you’ll be well rewarded with a role contributing to the roadmap of an organisation committed to transformation

  • We offer high performers strong and diverse career progression, investing heavily in developing great people through our Capital One University training programmes (and appropriate external providers)

  • Immediate access to our core benefits including pension scheme, bonus, generous holiday entitlement and private medical insurance – with flexible benefits available including season-ticket loans, cycle to work scheme and enhanced parental leave

  • Open-plan workspaces and accessible facilities designed to inspire and support you. Our Nottingham head-office has a fully-serviced gym, subsidised restaurant, mindfulness and music rooms. In London, you can heighten your mood with a run on our rooftop running track or an espresso at the Workshop Coffee café
