Requirements:


  • Proven experience in leadership and willing to transition towards a Scrum master role and/or experience gained as a Scrum Master, in an agile environment
  • Technical experience as a developer, tester, or business analyst will help.
  • Strong understanding of agile values, principles, and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members in the use of Scrum and or other agile frameworks
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and facilitate decision-making within the team
  • Strong ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Calm and collaborative approach when operating under pressure, with a willingness to compromise to find solutions.
  • Intense customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and remove barriers to progress, and to escalate issues as necessary


Nice to have:


  • Scrum Master certification (e.g. Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. computer science, business, or engineering) is preferred, but not required


Job Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint review meetings, and sprint retrospective meetings
  • Help the team to continuously improve their processes and practices, using techniques such as retrospectives and process improvement workshops
  • Identify and remove any barriers that may impede the team’s progress, and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved within the team
  • Work with the product owner to help prioritize and refine the product backlog
  • Help the team to communicate effectively with other stakeholders in the organization, including Product Managers, Product Owners, and Designers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the team’s progress, using tools such as burn-down charts and velocity charts
  • Foster a culture of self-organization, empowerment, and accountability within the teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization by identifying areas of enhancement and implementing best practices
