Job description

Regional Business Development Manager - Remote

We are a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing online learning solutions, and we are on the lookout for an ambitious and results-driven Regional Business Development Manager to join our remote workforce. This crucial position will play a significant role in amplifying our market presence, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth by promoting our extensive range of products, including webinars, dedicated emails, research reports, publications, consulting services, quality scorecard suites, membership programs, professional development courses, and exhibit booths and sponsorships for conferences, both online and in-person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets across our comprehensive range of offerings while maintaining a healthy revenue pipeline.
  • Engage in proactive sales outreach via telephone and email to connect with potential clients.
  • Identify and target new sales prospects through diligent research on prospective accounts and key decision-makers.
  • Generate and secure fresh business leads via strategic analysis and outreach initiatives.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients and stakeholders by understanding their requirements and providing tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Keep accurate records and reporting in Salesforce CRM, adhering to organizational standards and protocols.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize organizational value.
  • Create custom agreements and reports to support customers, partners, and potential sponsors in the region.
  • Contribute to the strategic enhancement of sponsorship and exhibitor offerings and manage the execution of sponsor benefits and contracts.
  • Deliver weekly sales reports to leadership, encompassing account activity, pending proposals, client needs, issues, interests, competitive landscape, and opportunities for new products and services.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to achieve sales goals and meet quotas.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM or similar platforms.
  • Aptitude for conducting market research and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in a quota-carrying role, demonstrating a track record of revenue growth through prospecting, new business creation, and expanding existing accounts, preferably within the education sector.
  • Prior experience in a higher education context is a plus.
