Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Innovation Program Manager to join our team focused on Capital, Innovation, and Global Initiatives. This key position is instrumental in advancing our mission to reduce food waste by fostering the adoption of impactful solutions in collaboration with diverse organizations addressing waste in the food system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute services aimed at bolstering the ecosystem of food waste solution providers, including programs such as Innovation Challenges, Solution Showcases, and Impact Assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data & Insights team to refine methods for data collection and model the impacts of food waste solutions.
  • Partner with the Capital Initiatives team to disseminate funding opportunities and insights regarding the food waste solutions landscape.
  • Engage with the Business Initiatives team to capture and communicate business needs and challenges, facilitating the creation of scalable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide support for the Catalytic Grant Fund, overseeing portfolio management, compiling progress reports, and coordinating quarterly calls with grantees while organizing non-financial support.
  • Interact with previous grantees to uncover opportunities for additional assistance and gather data on their long-term impact.
  • Work together with the Communications team to showcase grantee success stories and facilitate gatherings for grantees to exchange lessons learned and best practices.
  • Contribute to tracking and evaluating programmatic performance.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in program management or as an investment associate.
  • A strong passion for leveraging data and technology to tackle social and environmental challenges.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as Slack, Airtable, Salesforce, and Google Suite.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and a self-starter attitude, comfortable working independently while managing ambiguity.
  • Commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of program management experience with a record of successful project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Understanding of food waste, its implications, and knowledge of food systems and sustainability.
  • An entrepreneurial perspective with a proven history of enhancing strategic programs within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with startups, venture capital, sustainable finance, or accelerator settings.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships and collaborations.

Compensation And Benefits
