Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Financial Analyst FP&A Consultant, where you will play an essential role in enhancing our financial operations. This position is based in El Segundo, California, and offers a unique opportunity to engage in comprehensive data analysis, financial reporting, and budget management across multiple sites.

Work Schedule

This position requires onsite engagement from Monday to Thursday at our El Segundo office, with the flexibility of remote work on Fridays.

Duration

This is a temporary role designed to cover maternity leave for a duration of 4-5 months, starting mid-November. Exceptional performance during this period may open doors for a transition into a permanent Senior Financial Analyst position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ensure the accuracy and relevance of financial and operational reports, including the preparation of monthly performance dashboards and variance analysis reports.
  • Budget Preparation & Forecasting: Aid in the formulation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, while conducting thorough variance analysis for corrective action recommendations.
  • Data Management: Utilize SQL for data extraction and analysis, managing substantial datasets to drive financial decision-making.
  • Site-Level Financial Oversight: Supervise financial activities across various business locations, identifying trends and proposing actionable recommendations to enhance performance.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain intricate financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Reporting Improvements: Seek opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy and streamline budgeting and forecasting processes through automation.
  • Collaboration: Partner with operational managers and senior leadership to gather financial data, aligning financial plans with organizational objectives.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform financial analyses as needed and prepare tailored reports for senior management.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in accrual accounting and auditing.
  • Proficiency in SQL is crucial.
  • Familiarity with accounting software systems, including ADP Financial Services, CRM, and Crystal Reports.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational and time management abilities.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting, preferably within the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance sectors.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
