Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director of Finance to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role entails serving as a key advisor to the CEO and senior leadership, directing our financial operations, and overseeing essential accounting processes, including both accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO on all fiscal matters.
  • Collaborate with division leaders to evaluate business lines and counsel on strategies for growth.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the efficiency of all financial functions.
  • Manage external accounting partners, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Supervise treasury functions and manage the month-end closing process.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Establish and monitor internal control procedures for compliance and accuracy.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all state sales and use tax returns.
  • Manage annual audits and fulfill tax obligations with third-party firms.
  • Supervise accounts payable department, approving significant expenses and authorizing transactions.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and implement effective collection strategies.
  • Identify internal process deficiencies and develop controls to mitigate risks.
  • Drive enhancements in financial processes and support various accounting initiatives.
  • Create new reporting formats and processes as required by management.

Required Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree, CPA, or MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience with QuickBooks; familiarity with Bill.com and HubSpot is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 6 years in month-end close accounting.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury operations.
  • Over 5 years of supervisory experience in finance and accounting.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading finance departments in a growth-oriented environment.
